We would rather you were sure than stuck. This page tells you exactly how to cancel, when you get money back, and how long it takes. It forms part of our Terms of Use.

1. Try it before you pay
The first three classes of every course are free. No card, no expiry, no catch.
We built it that way because the best refund policy is not needing one. Watch them, see whether the teaching suits your child, and then decide.

2. The 6-month course — CA$399
You have 14 days from the date of purchase to change your mind and get a full refund, for any reason at all. Email us and we will process it. You do not have to explain yourself.
After 14 days, the course fee is non-refundable. You keep access for the rest of your 6-month term.
After 14 days, the course fee is non-refundable. You keep access for the rest of your 6-month term.
There are two exceptions, and we mean them:
- If we withdraw a course before your access period ends, we refund the unused portion.
- If something has gone genuinely wrong — a technical fault we cannot fix, an error on our side, a serious personal circumstance — email us and tell us. We would rather sort it out directly than have you feel cheated. We look at these case by case and we are not difficult about it.
3. The monthly plan — CA$99 per month
Cancel any time. No minimum term, no cancellation fee, no phone call required.
- Cancel from your account, or by emailing info@trumath.ca.
- Cancel before your next renewal date to avoid being charged again.
- You keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for.
- We do not refund part-months. If you cancel on day 20, you keep access to the end of that month.
If you cancel and change your mind, you can resubscribe at any time at the price then current.
4. Switching to a different course
Enrolling in a new course replaces your current one, and you lose access to the course you were in — including content you have already paid for and any time remaining on it. Grade 12 is the exception: MHF4U and MCV4U can be held together.
Switching does not produce a refund for the course you are leaving.
If you want to keep both, email us before you enrol and we will set it up for you. Once you have enrolled, the switch has already happened and we cannot undo it.

5. How to ask for a refund
Email info@trumath.ca with:
- the email address on your account;
- which course you bought; and
- roughly when you bought it.
That is all we need. We will reply within 2 business days, and if a refund is due we will send it to your original payment method within 10 business days. How quickly it appears after that depends on your bank, usually 3 to 5 days.
Refunds go back to the payment method used, in Canadian dollars. If your card was in another currency, your bank sets the exchange rate and we cannot control the difference.
Please email us directly. Replies to our automated invoice emails do not reach us.

6. What happens when a refund is issued
Your access to the course ends when the refund is processed. Your account stays open, and your free three classes remain available.
7. Failed and duplicate payments
If you have been charged twice, or charged after cancelling, email us and we will refund it in full. That is a mistake, not a refund request, and no time limit applies to it.
8. Chargebacks
If something looks wrong with a charge, please email us before contacting your bank. We can almost always fix it faster, and a chargeback locks the money for weeks while the bank investigates.
If a chargeback is raised on a valid charge, we may suspend the account while it is resolved and recover the amount along with any fee our payment provider charges us. This does not affect your right to dispute a charge you genuinely did not authorise. If someone has used your card without permission, tell your bank and tell us.

9. Fairness
This policy is written to be generous, and it assumes good faith on both sides. If someone repeatedly buys and refunds courses, or takes a refund after downloading or copying our classes, we may decline further refunds and close the account. That is rare, and it is not aimed at anyone who simply changes their mind.
10. Discounts and promotions
If you bought with a coupon or at a promotional price, any refund is of the amount you actually paid, not the list price. If a promotion has its own terms, those are shown with the offer.
11. Tax
All prices are in Canadian dollars and no sales tax is added, so the amount refunded is the amount you paid.
12. Your rights under Ontario law
This policy sits on top of your legal rights. It does not replace them, and nothing here limits them.
Under Ontario’s Consumer Protection Act, 2002, if we fail to give you the required information before you buy, or fail to deliver a written copy of your agreement within the required time, you may be entitled to cancel and get your money back regardless of what this page says. You may also have rights under that Act if our service is not as described.
If you think we have got something wrong, email us first. We would like the chance to fix it. If we cannot resolve it between us, you can contact the Ontario Ministry of Public and Business Service Delivery and Procurement, which handles consumer complaints, or take the matter to court. Nothing in our Terms of Use requires you to arbitrate a dispute or prevents you from joining a class proceeding.

13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The version in force when you bought is the one that applies to your purchase, so a change can never reduce a refund right you already had. The date at the top tells you when we last updated this page.
